With the vision to create awareness and promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to the public, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (KLCH) via the Project Implementation and Building Maintenance Department has delivered an initiative of installing SDG Signage onto KLCH's building and assets. The SDG Signage which has 3 standard sizes made of perspec with printed sticker is installed on the wall of the building aimed to inform the SDG involved in the building, with hope that more building users will be well informed on the SDG initiative that has been going on globally, thus taking pro-active actions towards sustainable living culture.
The SDG Signage of Institut Latihan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (IDBKL) was installed on 5th of September 2022, which marked the fourth SDG Signage placed on the KLCH's asset. The signage highlighted 13 SDG goals that has been achieved for the IDBKL building. The 13 Goals are SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 : (Gender Equality), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
