The Greening Program: Community Gardens in Kuala Lumpur Programme is an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable and healthy living among urban communities in the city. The programme involves the creation and maintenance of community gardens in public spaces, such as parks and schools, where residents can come together to grow their own food and engage in community-building activities. The gardens are designed to be environmentally sustainable, utilizing organic gardening practices and promoting biodiversity through the cultivation of native plants. The programme also offers workshops and training on sustainable living practices, such as composting and reducing waste. By providing opportunities for residents to participate in local food production and engage in outdoor activities, the Greening Program: Community Gardens in Kuala Lumpur Programme aims to improve the health and well-being of urban communities, while also promoting environmental sustainability. The initiative aligns with several of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by promoting sustainable and inclusive urban development and improving access to healthy and nutritious food.
