Program Be Safe Feel Safe @ Methodist Girl School Kuala Lumpur (MGSKL)
The JK KL SafeCity Brickfields together with LA21 KL had recently organised a programme - Be Safe, Feel Safe: Ceramah & Demonstrasi Pencegahan Jenayah Ke Arah KL Selamat for the students of Methodist Girl School Kuala Lumpur which was officiated by the Executive Director (Planning) of DBKL, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Hj Mahadi bin Che Ngah.
The school is attended by students from various parts of KL particularly Brickfields and Lembah Pantai thus making it a good target group to be reached out as an effort to educate the youth on how to prevent themselves from being a victim of crime as well prevent committing crime.
The SafeCity Programmes by Kuala Lumpur City Hall aim to create a safer and more secure environment for residents and visitors in the city. The programme is focused on enhancing the safety and security of the city's urban areas through various initiatives and strategies.
One of the main objectives of the SafeCity Programmes is to reduce crime rates and increase public safety awareness. This is achieved through various measures, including the installation of CCTV cameras in strategic locations, increasing police patrols in high-risk areas, and conducting regular safety audits to identify potential security risks.
Another important aspect of the SafeCity Programmes is the promotion of community participation in crime prevention. The City Hall works closely with local communities to raise awareness of crime prevention measures and encourage residents to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
The SafeCity Programmes also prioritize the safety of women and children, with initiatives such as the Women's Help Desk, which provides support and assistance to women facing harassment or violence in public places. Other programmes include the Safe School Programme, which aims to ensure the safety of students and staff in schools, and the Safe City for Children Programme, which focuses on child protection and welfare.
Overall, the SafeCity Programmes by Kuala Lumpur City Hall demonstrate the city's commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for all residents and visitors. The programme's holistic approach to crime prevention and community engagement has contributed to a reduction in crime rates and an increased sense of security among the city's residents.

- Self-defence classes and community outreach especially for women and girls
- Safety walkabouts and audit to identify hazard and crime prone areas and hotspots
- Enforcement of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design
- Adopt gender mainstreaming strategies to ensure that women and men can obtain equal access and control over the city resources and opportunities – this can be done by designing and planning for a Gender Friendly city for Kuala Lumpur.
- Practice Gender Responsive Participatory Budgetary process as part of CHKL’s sustainable budgetary process.
- Adoption or develop Safe City for Women policies and action plans to enhance women safety in the city.
- Promotion and assistance to support entrepreneurship in for women in Kuala Lumpur through upskilling programs and scaling up entrepreneurs through private public collaboration and grant assistance
