
180 homeless people have participated in Kebun Bandar Hijrah Warrior, Anjung Kelana
The Kebun Bandar Hijrah Warrior, Anjung Kelana Programme is an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable and healthy living among urban communities in Malaysia. The programme focuses on creating and maintaining green spaces, such as community gardens, as well as promoting eco-friendly practices and sustainable lifestyles. Participants in the programme are encouraged to take an active role in caring for the green spaces, which provide opportunities for growing their own food, engaging in physical activity, and building community connections. The programme also offers workshops and training on sustainable living practices, such as composting, organic gardening, and reducing waste. Through the Kebun Bandar Hijrah Warrior, Anjung Kelana Programme, participants are empowered to take action towards creating a more sustainable and resilient community, while also improving their health and well-being.
The Programme details is as below:
-6 months transformation program (3 months activation & 3 months hands-on practice)
-Urban farming and sustainable agriculture skills and practices
-Free accommodation during transformation program
-Participated in other soft skill trainings
-Daily Allowance for the last 3 months (RM3 /day)
-Employment at partner farms and organization after completing programs
