Green Mobility: Public transit

Source: DBKL

The Green Mobility: Public Transit is an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable transportation options in the city. The programme focuses on improving public transit infrastructure and promoting the use of public transportation, such as buses and trains, as an alternative to private vehicles. The programme involves the expansion of public transit routes, the implementation of bus rapid transit systems, and the integration of bike lanes and pedestrian walkways to encourage active transportation. The programme also promotes the use of clean energy sources, such as electric buses and trains, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. By promoting sustainable transportation options, the Green Mobility: Public Transit in Kuala Lumpur Programme aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve mobility and accessibility, and reduce the environmental impact of transportation in the city.
