Program Rimba Market

The Rimba Market Program is an initiative by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to promote the sale of fresh produce and goods from local farmers and small businesses. The program takes place at the Taman Rimba Kiara park in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and aims to provide a platform for these vendors to sell their products directly to consumers.

The program was launched in 2021 as part of DBKL's efforts to support local businesses and promote sustainable practices. The market is open every Saturday from 7 am to 12 pm and features a variety of vendors selling fresh produce, organic products, handicrafts, and more.

The Rimba Market Program is not just a platform for vendors to sell their goods but also an opportunity for consumers to learn about the benefits of supporting local businesses and the importance of sustainable living. There are workshops and talks held at the market to educate visitors on topics such as composting, sustainable farming practices, and reducing waste.

Furthermore, the program also features food trucks and stalls selling a variety of delicious dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. This not only provides a great opportunity for visitors to sample some tasty food but also supports local food businesses.

Overall, the Rimba Market Program is a great initiative by DBKL to support local businesses and promote sustainable practices. It provides a platform for vendors to sell their goods, educates visitors on the importance of sustainable living, and offers a fun and enjoyable experience for all who attend.
