COLLABORATION INVITATION - “REVIVE!” BY UTAR SG LONG STUDENTS

Dear Sir/Madam,

Invitation to collaborate in a recycling campaign with UTAR students!

We are undergraduate students from the Bachelor of Corporate Communication (Honours) programme at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Sungai Long. As part of our final year Event Management course, we will be organizing our upcoming event, “Revive!”. This event is an initiative aimed to infuse a sustainable and eco-friendly spirit into the age-old practice of gifting and receiving festive packets. 

Objectives: 

• To encourage community participation in recycling used festive packets.
• To motivate the community to reuse or upcycle used festive packets into new products and decorations. 

Details of the event: 

Programme: Revive! 

Date: 4 April 2024  [Tentatively]

Time: 9.00am - 5.00pm 

Venue: Multipurpose Hall (MPH), KB Block, UTAR Sungai Long

The highlights of the event are as follows: 

• Environmental Impact Forum on Festive Packets
• Art Exhibition Featuring Festive Packet Creations
• Creative Art Workshop with Festive Packet Theme
• Handover Ceremony for Total Collected Used Festive Packets 

We have come across SDG Centre Kuala Lumpur and have been thoroughly impressed with your organization's commitment to achieving the SDG Goals through numerous events, effectively increasing community awareness towards sustainability. With this initiative, we sincerely invite your organization to join our event as one of the forum speakers and provide us with recycle bins for collecting festive packets in various strategic areas especially in KL areas. This will help encourage the community to recycle and reduce the waste of festive packets. Given the shared values and goals between SDG Centre Kuala Lumpur and our event towards SDG Goal 11, we believe there could be a valuable opportunity for collaboration that would mutually benefit both parties, most importantly, promoting a sustainable effort in the community.
